Privacy Policy
Last updated: July 9, 2026
The ShortFlow app is committed to protecting the privacy of its users. This policy details how we handle your data in accordance with Google OAuth requirements.
1. Access to Google User Data
ShortFlow requests access to the following data from your Google Account via YouTube API Services:
- YouTube Subscriptions List: We read your subscriptions list to identify the channels you follow and present you with their Shorts videos.
- Profile Information (Email, Name): Used solely to create and maintain your secure account via Firebase.
ShortFlow's use and transfer to any other app of information received from Google APIs will adhere to Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
2. Data Communication and Transfer (Third Parties)
We communicate (share, transfer, or disclose) your user data only to the following third parties, strictly for the functioning of the application:
- Google (YouTube/Firebase): Your subscription data is processed by Google servers to retrieve video feeds. Your preferences are stored in an encrypted manner on Firebase.
- Google AdMob: For displaying advertisements, AdMob may access anonymous technical identifiers of your device.
No Google user data is sold to third parties or used for advertising targeting outside of the application.
3. Sensitive Data Protection Mechanisms
We apply rigorous security measures to protect your data:
- OAuth 2.0 Authentication: ShortFlow never has access to your Google password. Access is managed through secure authorization tokens.
- Encryption at Rest and in Transit: All data exchanged between the application and Firebase is protected by SSL/TLS encryption.
- Data Minimization: We only access your data in "read-only" mode and only when necessary to display your feed.
4. Revoking Access
You can revoke the application's access at any time via your Google Security Settings.
